Support from Colchester MP Bob Russell

Bob Russell, who is MP for Colchester which has a large armed services population, dropped by for a cup of tea and to support my campaign for a fair deal for the troops on Tuesday. We were joined by the Eastcotts Councillor Sarah Holland who is a member of the British Legion and volunteers as a welfare officer for the Legion.

Bob was in the Borough as Bedford Borough was the host of the inaugural meeting of the Grand Assembly of the East of England. This was to be a meeting of all of the MPs representing constituencies in the East of England. However, it wasn't quorate - a shame so many of the MPs passed up the chance to visit our Borough.
