Mayor Dave Hodgson has recorded a new video regarding Surge Testing in Bedford Borough.

Mayor Dave Hodgson says "With Government figures showing that Bedford Borough has the third highest Coronavirus rate in the country, with 128 cases per 100,000 people in the population, I am pleased the Government has agreed to rollout surge testing in selected areas of the Borough. Everyone, adults and children, living, working or studying in Cauldwell, Kingsbrook, Queens Park and Wixams are strongly encouraged to take a PCR Coronavirus test this wee, even if they are not showing any symptoms. this will help to identify cases and ensure that people self-isolate with appropriate support.

Mobile Testing Units will be available for drop ins from Thursday 20 May until Friday 28 May with no appointment necessary at

John Bunyan Sports and Fitness Centre, Cauldwell (MK42 9TS) 8am-6pm

Oasis Beach Pool, Kingsbrook (MK42 0BZ) 8am-6pm

Enterprise House, Queens Park (MK40 4PF) 8am-5pm

Seasons Garden Centre, Wixams (MK45 3HU) 8.30am-6pm

The Mobile Testing Units accept people in cars and on foot and no appointment is necessary.
