Thameslink Compensation Scheme Eligibility Extended

29 Aug 2018

Govia Thameslink Railway's Additional Industry Compensation scheme, established in addition to existing compensation schemes due to the extensive disruption suffered by travellers following the timetable changes in May, is to be extended.

Previously, only season ticket holders were eligible to claim under this scheme, but it has now been announced that those who made a return journey on at least three days over a 7-day week, Monday to Sunday, between 20th May and 28th July 2018 are also now covered.

Commenting when sharing the news on his Facebook page today, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "Of course, there are many people not covered by this extension, plus it doesn't undo the appalling disruption so many have suffered by any means, but it's good news for those now included in the scheme."
