The Bedford Christmas Fair is taking place throughout the pedestrian area in Bedford Town Centre from today, Friday 11 December through to Sunday 13 December. The fair offers the chance for people to enjoy can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a traditional Christmas, with numerous attractions and stalls throughout the heart of the Town Centre selling an array of seasonal gifts, foods and treats.

Throughout the three day fair, there will an array of madcap seasonal street entertainment, music and shows that are filled with fun characters. Children can be kept entertained by rides including a helter-skelter, carousel, swing boats, and a fantastic steam engine.

The Christmas Fair provides the perfect Christmas environment for shoppping and an ideal opportunity for everyone to soak up the festive ambience and really get into the Christmas spirit.

Commenting, Mayor Dave Hodgson said: "The Christmas Fair provides a truly festive environment for Christmas shopping in Bedford Town Centre, right throughout the weekend. Bedford Town Centre is a vibrant and attractive place to be in the run-up to Christmas, and we want to encourage as many shoppers as possible into the town centre during this vital period to enjoy the festivities and support local businesses.'

"With two hours' free parking this Saturday and every Saturday and all day on Sundays, in addition to the free parking offer at Queen Street car park over Christmas, there really is every reason to enjoy the Christmas Fair in Bedford Town Centre."
