The Bedford International Kite Festival - More Free Fun for all the Family this Weekend
Mayor Dave Hodgson is encouraging people to get along to Russell Park on Saturday or Sunday (or on both days!) to enjoy the ever-popular Bedford International Kite Festival. The fun takes place from 10am to 6pm on Saturday and from 10 to 5 on Sunday, while the bank holiday festivities in Russell Park continue into Monday, with the free Battle of the Bands event.
Commenting, Mayor Dave said: "As always, there is a wide range range of events taking place across the Borough this Bank Holiday Weekend. There is more free fun for all the family in Bedford with the International Kite Festival, which will feature spectacular kites and highly skilled international kite-flyers, plus children's and adults workshops in the kite marquee.'
"There is lots to see and do in addition to the kite-flying, which will no doubt provide as colourful a spectacle as ever. With the Battle of the Bands contest following on Monday, Russell Park really will be a great place to go for free fun this weekend!"
