The Princess Royal visit to the Forest Centre and Millennium Country Park

Mayor Dave Hodgson meeting Princess Anne at the Forest of Marston Vale

Last week, Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal visited the Forest Centre and Millennium Country Park to dedicate the Forest of Marston Vale to The Queen's Commonwealth Canopy.

The Princess planted a tree and unveiled a plaque in the new Forest Shelter, and with local school children in attendance it was another great occasion for the Trust, which does so much good work locally.

Sadly, following the visit, the tree has been dug up and removed, along with other damage, in a disgusting act of vandalism.

You can read more on the Forest of Marston Vale's facebook page, and I send my best wishes to the Trust and its brilliant volunteers in the face of such awful criminal activity.
