The Time Capsule burial at The Place in Kempston

On Thursday, Mayor Dave Hodgson attened a time capsule burial at The Place in Kempston.

The time capsule was filled by children from Kempston Rural School and will be opened in 70 years in 2092.

Mayor Dave said "I would like to thank Storey Homes for organising today's event and children of Kempston Rural School who have provided the items, including toys, books and even predictions of what life will be like in 70 years' time. The items that the children have chosen for the capsule truly show their creativity. They've done a great job in representing our brilliant town. It is absolutely fascinating to imagine what life may be like in 70 years' time and I hope some of the children who contributed will come back to the re-opening in 2092!"
