For the first time the government has decided you will need to present photographic identification to be able to vote. The following documents will be accepted as long as poll workers think the photo is a good enough likeness:
- A passport issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man, a British Overseas Territory, an EEA state or a Commonwealth country
- A driving licence issued by the UK, any of the Channel Islands, the Isle of Man or an EEA state

- A Blue Badge
- A national identity card issued by an EEA state
- An Older Person's Bus Pass
- A disabled person's Bus Pass
- An Oyster 60+ card
- A Freedom Pass
- A Voter Authority Certificate or a temporary Voter Authority Certificate
You can find a full list of valid ID at www.electoralcommission.org.uk/i-am-a/voter/voter-id/accepted-forms-photo-id
The Government has also changed the electoral system for the Mayoral election. You now only have one vote, instead of two. The election for Mayor is between me and the Conservative candidate, Labour came a poor third last time and the Greens were even further back in fourth place, a vote for anyone other than Mayor Dave will only help the Conservatives.
Once you have voted you can let us know at www.libdems.org.uk/voted
