Update from Local Goldington Cllrs Sylvia Gillard and Phil Merryman

26 Aug 2014

Putnoe Primary Entrance Path: Phil has arranged for the entrance path to Putnoe Primary School to be widened near the main gate. There was a lot of mud being walked into the school in the wetter months from the worn area just outside the gate. This should be much improved now that the worst area has been made into a proper surface.

Norse Road Crossing: A crossing point has been installed on Norse Road between Hamsterley Close and the path to The Spires houses by the bus stop. It is a natural crossing point and will make it safer and easier for all to cross.

Sign Repairs for Vicars Walk: Sylvia has asked for the damaged street name in Vicars Walk to be repaired. She has also asked for the 'No Ball Games' signs on the grass area in Vicars Walk to be repaired, as two of them have the signs missing. If you see any other broken signs, please let your local councillor know. Contact details can be found here.

Elliott Crescent Speed Humps: Sylvia has asked for the white markings on some of the speed humps in Elliott Crescent, The Spinney and nearby to be repainted. As the markings fade, the humps become less obvious, particularly in darker conditions.
