Update from Sarah Holland, Local Cllr for Eastcotts
New classrooms are being built at Cotton End Primary School this year as part of Mayor Dave Hodgson's commitment to replace all temporary classrooms with permanent buildings at schools across the Borough. Sarah said "This is great news for local pupils. In the next few years all of the temporary classrooms will be replaced by proper classroom blocks. We all want the best possible facilities for pupils in the Borough."
Through her Ward Fund, Sarah has purchased a new bus shelter for the High Road, Cotton End. This followed complaints from residents that bus users couldn't see buses coming as the old brick-built shelter was set too far back from the road. The new shelter has recitfied this, and provided a more comfortable shelter for local bus users.
Wood Lane footpath is due to be resurfaced this year. This comes after an extra £1million was added to the budget for pavement resurfacing this year by the Liberal Democrats.
