Michael and Rosemary welcome the plans for improving the community centre and the renewed rear car park.

Community Centre Refurbishment Agreed:

Followning the opening of the Iceland store, the funding for refurbishing the Community Centre has now been agreed by the Council. The centre will get a new front entrance and much improved rooms inside. Local Lib Dems have been calling for this for many years and it's great to see this now agreed.

Rear Car Park Renewal:

During November, work is taking place to renew the car park at the rear of Church Lane shops. This will include new dropped kerbs for easier access for trolleys. Rosemary said "This is really important for this area. Over the last few years this shopping area has changed beyond recognition. But this popularity is putting pressure on car parking spaces. That is why we've been caling for the car park at the back of the shops to be brougt up to standard and for dropped kerbs to be put in, so people can get trollies to their cars."
