Vote for your favourite park following Green Flag success
Green Flags are proudly flying in Bedford Borough's parks after they were once again recognised for their quality.
Addison Howard Park, Bedford Park, Harrold-Odell Country Park and Priory Country Park, have all yet again been included in this year's winners list. This is alongside the retention of the Green Flag Community Awards for Hill Rise Local Nature Reserve, Putnoe Wood and Mowsbury Hillfort, all managed through our wonderful volunteer groups, the Friends of Hill Rise and the Friends of Putnoe Wood and Mowsbury Hillfort respectively.
Following on from the summer awards, the Green Flag scheme is asking residents to have their say and decide which of this year's winners should receive the People's Choice Awards for being the UK's and the world's favourite.
To vote for the People's Choice Award, find your favourite Bedford Borough park on the Green Flag winners map, open the park description and click the voting button on the right. Voting is open until the 31st of October 2022.
Dave Hodgson, Mayor of Bedford Borough, said, "In spite of the ongoing financial challenges we continue to invest in our parks and we are immensely proud to have achieved Green Flag status. Our green open spaces continue to be hugely popular and reinforce why Bedford Borough is a great place to live, work and visit. I want to again thank the staff and volunteers who work in our parks and open spaces who do an incredible job of keeping them in fantastic condition. It is now our chance to vote in the People's Choice Awards to show the rest of the country just how great our parks are".
