WATCH - Jas Parmar on Applying for a Postal Vote
In a new video published this week, Liberal Democrat candidate for Bedfordshire Police and Crime Commissioner Jas Parmar has encouraged anyone who is concerned about voting in person or who would prefer to vote by post in the forthcoming Police and Crime Commissioner election on May 6th to apply for a postal vote.
In the video Jas explains that he understands that many people may be shielding, or working or may simply be concerned about going to the polling station due to COVID-19. He advises that those in these positions can apply for a postal vote by completing and posting a form, applying online or by phoning.
He adds: "It is your democratic right to vote. So please, use it. Go and register for a postal vote".
You can watch the video on Jas's Facebook page here.
You can find out more about postal voting and download a form here. If you cannot print a form off and wish to vote by post local residents can email electoral.registration@bedford.gov.uk or phone 01234 718078.
