Bedford Borough Council is seeking the views of providers of residential care services for people over 65 years of age, and home care services for people aged 18 years and above to support the National Fair Cost of Care exercise.
The Liberal Democrat and Labour Groups have put forward a motion to Full Council to declare a cost of living crisis and to call on the government to take urgent action to help residents deal with soaring energy bills, record high taxes and rising inflation. Since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic Bedford Borough Council has deployed an 'Everyone In' approach to tackling homelessness and rough sleeping, whilst investing in purchasing more temporary accommodation and providing help and support for some of the most vulnerable residents in Bedford Borough.
