Lib Dems Vow to Fight on as Borough Council Backs Incinerator Plans
Bedford Borough Liberal Democrats have slammed last night's decision of Bedford Borough Council to proceed with the project to build a giant incinerator near Stewartby. The plans will now be submitted to the Government with the support of Bedford Borough Council. The decision was made in spite of forceful opposition from the Liberal Democrats on the Council's Implementation Executive, who set out the key reasons why they believe the project must not go ahead.

Air Quality Problem to be Tackled Across Bedford Town Centre
Bedford Town Centre is to be declared an Air Quality Management Area (AQMA) following the success of a Liberal Democrat proposal at last night's meeting of the General Purposes Committee of Bedford Borough Council.
