Cracking Down on Dangerous Parking Outside Schools

Works are underway on the installation of parking enforcement cameras outside schools across Bedford Borough, with cameras going in at all schools where this enforcement against dangerous and unlawful parking is possible. This major expansion in the number of fixed enforcement cameras will see another 38 installed at all schools where feasible.

Neil Sands and his wonderful cast are returing to the Corn Exchange on 7th May, with a new production for 2020, of their most popular patriotic show Land of Hope & Glory, celebrating The Best of British Entertainment and especially produced to coincide with the 75th anniversary of the end of The Second World War.

Poorly insulated homes in Bedford Borough paying £23 million more in heating bills

Families in Bedford Borough are paying over £23 million more a year for their energy bills because they are living in poorly insulated homes, research by the Liberal Democrats has revealed. Bedford Borough Liberal Democrats are demanding that the government urgently invest in fixing leaky homes in the area and cut people's energy bills in the long term.

Library half-term activities February 2022

Free crafts for children at Bedford Borough Libraries this half-term

From Saturday 11 to Saturday 18 February, families are invited to visit Bedford Borough Libraries for free fun craft activities. Bedford Central, Bromham, Kempston, Putnoe, and Wootton libraries all have activities planned. Crafts include; creating bug masks, paper bag dinosaurs, and Valentine's Day Cards. There will also be colouring and Lego clubs in all the libraries. Bedford Central Library has a special half-term Story Time on Wednesday 15 February 11:30am - 12:00pm.
