Council announces boost for Bedford Borough tree planting

Bedford Borough Council has announced ambitious plans for another record year of tree planting across the Borough. Last year the council planted over 30,000 trees and this year the target is even bigger with an expectation that over 35,000 trees will be planted.

When the team at local charity, SMART, launched their Cold Relief in Bedford (CRIB) appeal back in November, they had their hearts set on trying to raise £20,000 (50% of the CRIB target) before Christmas.
