Council urges residents to get twice weekly rapid ‘no symptom’ tests
Everyone who lives or works in Bedford Borough and is over the age of 18 will be able to get a free rapid Covid-19 test twice a week.

From Monday 12 April, Bedford Borough libraries will begin to reopen on a phased basis in line with the "next step" of the Government's Coronavirus roadmap out of Lockdown.
Our thoughts are with The Queen, and entire Royal Family on this sad day. The Duke of Edinburgh was the longest-serving royal consort in British History and we are flying the Union Flag at half-mast at both Borough Hall and the Old Town Hall to mark his life, and death at the age of 99.
From today (Monday 12 April), further lockdown restrictions have been lifted and businesses in Bedford Borough will once again be able to open their doors to local residents, shoppers and visitors.
From Monday the East West Rail Company will be opening their 'Virtual Consultation Rooms'. We urge you to get involved if you want to share your views about the route of East West Rail. The East West Rail Company are also holding some geographically based public events including on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday next week, again details are on their website. Mayor Dave Hodgson will also be arranging online public sessions to listen to views regarding the Council's consultation response as we proceed through the East West Rail Company's consultation period.
