Bedford Borough Council has today announced it will be holding a public screening at Bedford Corn Exchange for those wishing to watch the funeral of our late Sovereign, Queen Elizabeth II.
On Sunday Bedford Borough hosted the County Proclamation of Accession for King Charles III and Mayor Dave Hodgson then read the Local Proclamation in Harpur Square in Bedford.
The Union Flag is at half-mast at both The Old Town and Borough Hall as a mark of respect and in memory of Queen Elizabeth II
Mayor Dave Hogson has laid a tribute to the Queen at Russell Park where Bedford Borough Council has set up a Floral Tribute Site at the western end of the park.
A Book of Condolence will be opened on Saturday at the Harpur Suite in Bedford. This will remain open from 8am to 5pm until the day after the funeral for those who would like to sign it. There is also an online Book of Condolence you can sign at www.royal.uk
