From Thursday 29 December to Tuesday 10 January, there will be eight Christmas tree recycling sites across Bedford Borough. People can drop off real Christmas trees at any time. They will be collected by council staff and recycled at GBRS Ltd.
The Platinum Jubilee Village Hall Fund has opened for application for village halls across England to apply for grants to improve and modernise their facilities,
The Hapur Trust make grants totalling around £1,000,000 each year and their Bedford Giving grants are now open with a deadline of 6th January.
From 1 January (to 31 March) Stagecoach and Uno bus fares will be capped at £2 to provide affordable bus travel to residents.
Don't forget there will be a slight change to the bin collections over the New Year period, with bins being collected a day late this week.
