Bedford Borough Council took a significant step forward in its support for care-experienced young people, as confirmed by a motion that received cross-party support at Full Council on July 12, 2023.
At Full Council last week it was confirmed that the Conservative Mayor had abolished the Rural Affairs Committee. The committee provided a larger voice for rural issues and gave out grants to rural organisations.
The Conservative administration has come under fire for failing to act to balance the £2.3 million Budget Outturn overspend. At Full Council they were criticised for not using the funding that was available to them to balance the Budget Outturn.
At Full Council the Liberal Democrats moved a motion calling on the Conservative Council to prioritise funding for new GP surgeries.
