Postal voters will be receiving their postal ballots very shortly, if they haven't already, and Mayor Dave Hodgson has encouraged people to make sure they fill in the form and return it - and to vote for him and their Liberal Democrat council candidate!
Following reports that one in four NHS wards routinely operate at unsafe staffing levels, Bedford Borough Liberal Democrat Health Spokesperson Councillor Wendy Rider said:"When there are not enough nurses, patient care suffers, and lives are put at risk."

Responding to the news that landlords will lose the right to evict renters without a reason at the end of their fixed-term tenancy, Bedford Borough Liberal Democrat Housing Spokesperson Dean Crofts said "The housing crisis has left many renters at the mercy of their landlords in an unfair and distorted rental market. Section 21 notices have allowed landlords to turf out tenants without reason, leaving many too frightened to complain about poor conditions."
