Wooden Pigs Refurbished at Woodlands

As part of a joint project with Brickhill Parish Council, Bedford Borough Council has replaced and refurbished the wooden pig sculptures located at the Crispin Drive Playground on the Woodlands development.

It is with profound sadness that we learnt yesterday, 23 February, that Councillor Patrick Solomon died at his home in Kingsbrook, the ward he represented. Patrick's death comes just one week after the death of his beloved wife Joan, following Joan's long illness.

BLMK area lost 27 GPs as number of registered patients soars past 1 million

Bedfordshire, Luton and Milton Keynes ICB has 27 fewer GPs than it did in December 2016. This loss of essential primary care comes as the number of registered patients in the area rises by 11% to well over 1 million - the 7th largest increase in the country. Bedford Liberal Democrats are calling for a fair deal for Bedford Borough, so residents can get access to the primary health care they need.
