Help fight Blood Cancer this Christmas

This Christmas please give the ultimate gift - by joining the stem cell register. Every 20 minutes someone in the UK is diagnosed with a blood cancer such as leukaemia, lymphoma or myeloma. Only around 30% of people with blood cancer find a matching donor within their family. Locally DKMS Bedford hub have registered over 2,200 people so far and you can see how you can help by watching their video here.

Significant levels of floodwater expected in Bedford

With flood warnings in place for the River Great Ouse and river levels rising, Bedford Borough Council, Bedfordshire Police and Bedfordshire Fire & Rescue are warning of significant levels of floodwaters to impact Bedford and other parts of the Borough.
