With many retail stores shut as part of the new national lockdown, Bedford Borough Council is urging everyone to support local businesses by backing BedfordBID's 'Remember November Online' campaign.
Mayor Dave Hodgson today took part in an Armistice Day ceremony at the Bedford War Memorial on the Embankment, at 11am. As with Sunday's Remembrance Service, it was a reduced service in line with current regulations and to ensure the safety of all involved. Photographs will be available on Mayor Dave's Facebook page in due course.

With COVID-19 infection rates increasing and national restrictions in place to reduce the spread of the virus sadly there won't be a big Christmas Light switch-on event this year. However, Christmas lights will still be in place across Bedford Town Centre bringing festive illuminations from today, 16 November.
