Polls have now opened for elections for the Mayor of Bedford Borough, Borough Councillors, Town and Parish Councillors. You can vote until 10pm.
Bedford Borough Council has added 16 new electric vehicles (EVs) to its fleet as part of its plans to increase the number of EVs used in operations.
Local Election Day is Thursday 4 May, when elections will be held for the Mayor of Bedford Borough, Borough Councillors, and Parish and Town Councillors where areas have parish/town councils that are contested (ie. more candidates than seats on the Council).
The latest success in the Council's campaign against fly-tipping involved bags of waste found dumped in Coventry Road, Bedford in March.
Former Conservative Mayoral Candidate Jas Parmar and former Labour Councillor Luigi Reale are backing Mayor Dave Hodgson in the election on Thursday 4th May. The election for Mayor is between Dave Hodgson and the Conservative candidate, Labour came a poor third last time and the Greens were even further back in fourth place, a vote for anyone other than Dave Hodgson will only help the Conservatives.
