Mayor Issues Warning on Council Funding Pressures

Mayor Dave Hodgson has echoed a stark warning from the Local Government Association (LGA) that local services are being placed under severe threat not only by unprecedented government cuts but also spiralling cost pressures imposed on Councils. The LGA has calculated that Councils face an additional £10 billion of cost pressures by 2020, with over £6 billion of this comprising government policies to be implemented over the period.

Mayor Dave's Village Tour Mayor Dave is again holding his annual Village Tour, during which he holds open street surgeries in the 61 different villages right across the Borough.
