Update from Tim Hill, Local Cllr for Elstow and Stewartby Ward

Elstow Bunyans Mead Residents Meeting - Residents have several concerns relating to Borough and BPHA responsibilities. The BPHA Warden invited Cllr Tim Hill and several reps from BPHA to a residents meeting to discuss these concerns. About 20 residents attended and lots of issues were raised. BPHA has now accepted it is responsible for maintenance of the pedestrianised area. Tim has also reported to BPHA residents issues on overgrown trees and street lights not working.

Cllr Sarah Holland, New Bus Shelter in Cotton End

Update from Sarah Holland, Local Cllr for Eastcotts

New classrooms are being built at Cotton End Primary School this year as part of Mayor Dave Hodgson's commitment to replace all temporary classrooms with permanent buildings at schools across the Borough. Sarah said "This is great news for local pupils. In the next few years all of the temporary classrooms will be replaced by proper classroom blocks. We all want the best possible facilities for pupils in the Borough."

News from Rosemary Bootiman and Michael Headley- Local Cllrs for Putnoe

New classrooms are to be built at schools serving Putnoe this year as part of Dave Hodgson's commitment to replace all temporary classrooms with permanent buildings. Phase 1, planned for this year includes Hazeldene Lower and Newnham Middle. Other schools, such as The Hills Lower, Mark Rutherford, St Thomas More and many more wider afield will follow in the next few years.
