Bromham C of E Lower School's new building was opened by the Mayor of Bedford Borough, Dave Hodgson, as part of the borough's Temporary Classroom Replacement Programme.
Mayor Dave Hodgson's programme to replace all temporary classrooms across all Bedford Borough schools with high quality permanent facilities continued recently with the opening of two brand new classrooms in a new building for Bromham C of E Lower School.
In his latest monthly article for the Times and Citizen newspaper, Mayor Dave Hodgson has highlighted how a strategic approach of targetting savings in Borough Hall rather than out in the community has enabled £81 million of required ongoing savings to be made since 2010 while protecting frontline services and freezing council tax, with the freeze proposed to continue for a fifth consecutive year.
Bedford Borough Council's project to build a new town centre road bridge river crossing as part of a Town Centre Decongestion Plan received a major boost today with the news that it will receive a contribution from the Government's Local Growth Fund to help bring it forward.
