Mayor Dave Hodgson's Executive has resolved that Bedford Borough Council will become 'single-use' plastic-free by the end of 2020.
The Jobs Hub will, in partnership with its local training providers, be holding an Employment and Skills Information Day on the 20th January at the Queens Park Neighbourhood Centre.
Mayor Dave Hodgson laid a wreath this morning, on behalf of the people of Bedford Borough, at the The Bedford Scots' Society of St Andrew Remembrance Service for the Members of the Highland Regiments who were billeted in Bedford during the First World War and who sadly died of flu and other diseases before they saw battle.
Since February 2021, Bedford Borough Council have been delivering high quality regeneration works to Bedford High Street in order to permanently make it one lane only for traffic and create more space for shoppers and pedestrians.
