Mayor Dave Hodgson made Bedford Borough the first place in the country to install average speed cameras on local roads back in 2012, after gathering views from residents across the borough about the need for effective action on speeding. This week BBC Look East reported on the latest news from Mayor Dave's average speed camera programme, after he announced funding for a further five sets of cameras in the proposed 2019/20 council budget.
